Equipment families often arrange

We do not sell or rent equipment, but these items, recommended by many doctors, make bedridden care safer and easier:

  • Adjustable hospital bed with side rails
  • Air (alternating-pressure) mattress to reduce pressure-sore risk
  • Wheelchair or commode chair where transfers are possible
  • Bedpan, urinal and waterproof mattress protectors
  • Draw sheet for safer repositioning

Who will come to your home

Our caregivers

Attendants for bedridden patients are chosen for physical capability and hygiene discipline, and are briefed on the patient's repositioning schedule, diet and warning signs before the first day. Where two people are needed for safe turning, we say so at the assessment.

Questions families ask

Bedridden Care: questions families ask

Can one attendant manage a bedridden patient?

Usually yes for hygiene, feeding and repositioning. If the patient is heavy or needs two people to turn safely, we advise on this at the assessment.

Do you provide nursing for bedsores?

Wound care for pressure sores is a nursing task carried out as the doctor directs. We can arrange a live-in nurse alongside the attendant who handles daily care and repositioning.

Is the patient attended at night?

Yes. The attendant lives in and handles night repositioning and any night-time need.

Do attendants handle catheters or feeding tubes?

No. Catheter and feeding-tube care is done by a qualified nurse as the doctor directs. Attendants assist with everything else.

What are the charges?

Charges are per month and depend on the patient's needs and whether nursing is added. We give a written quote after a short call.

How soon can care begin?

Usually within 24 to 48 hours; discharge-day starts can be arranged when you contact us before discharge.

Arrange bedridden care for your family

A short call is enough to understand the situation and send a written quote. No commitment, and if a simpler arrangement would serve you better, we will say so.
