Privacy policy
Plain language, because you should not need a lawyer to understand what happens to your phone number.

The short version
We are a home care business, not a data business. We collect the details you give us so that we can arrange care, and nothing more. This website stores nothing about you: it has no database, sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics. When you use the request form, your details go straight to our WhatsApp from your own device. We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.
Who this policy is from
Shiva Kaartikeya Homecare Services, operating in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here, which means we decide why and how it is used and we are answerable for it. You are the Data Principal. Our contact details are at the end of this page.
What we collect
When you use the request form on this website
Your name, your mobile number, the type of care you are looking for, and optionally your area in Hyderabad and any notes you add. Nothing you type is sent to this website or to any server we control. The form runs entirely in your browser: it assembles your answers into a WhatsApp message and opens WhatsApp on your device with that message ready. You choose whether to press send. If you close the page without sending, we never see it.
When you call or message us
Your phone number, and whatever you tell us: who needs care, their condition and needs, your locality, and your availability. Calls and WhatsApp threads are handled on ordinary mobile phones used by our coordinators.
When we arrange and provide care
To place the right person we usually need the name, age, condition and daily needs of the person who will receive care, your address, and your preferences on language, gender of caregiver and schedule. If you send us a discharge summary, prescription or doctor's instruction so that we can brief a nurse correctly, we receive the health information in it.
Health information gets extra care
Information about someone's health, treatment and medication is sensitive personal data under the SPDI Rules, 2011. We ask for it only where it genuinely affects the care being arranged, we share it only with the coordinator handling your case and the caregiver or nurse placed with you, and we ask you to send documents only when we have asked for them. Please do not send medical records to us before a conversation about whether they are needed.
If you give us information about another person, such as an elderly parent or a patient, please make sure you are entitled to share it on their behalf, and tell them it has been shared where you can.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and answer your questions.
- To carry out a short assessment and prepare a written quote.
- To select, brief and supervise the caregiver, attendant or nurse placed with your family.
- To stay in touch about the placement while it is running, including arranging replacements and rest days.
- To keep basic records of the engagement, and to handle any complaint or dispute about it.
- To meet legal or regulatory obligations that apply to us.
We rely on your consent, given when you contact us and continued while we provide care. We do not use your details for advertising, we do not build profiles, and we do not add you to any marketing list unless you have asked us to.
What this website does and does not do
- No accounts, no database. There is nothing to log in to, and the site has no server-side storage of enquiries.
- No tracking cookies. We set no cookies for advertising, analytics or profiling.
- No analytics or tag managers. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel and no third-party tracking script on this site.
- No embedded third-party content. Fonts are served from this site itself rather than fetched from Google, and there are no embedded maps or social widgets that could watch you.
- Ordinary server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical information when a page is served, such as the IP address, browser type and time of the request. This is used to serve the site and keep it secure, and it is not combined with your enquiry or used to identify you.
The request form and the WhatsApp buttons open WhatsApp, which is run by Meta. Once a message is in WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own privacy terms apply to it as well as ours. Messages are encrypted in transit by WhatsApp, but the message then sits on your phone and on the phone of the coordinator who receives it. If you would rather not use WhatsApp, call us instead on +91 99120 21799 or +91 99120 21899.
Who we share it with
We share your details only with people who need them to provide the service you asked for:
- The coordinator handling your enquiry.
- The caregiver, attendant or nurse placed with your family, who receives only what is needed to give care safely.
- Anyone you ask us to speak to, such as a family member acting for you or a treating doctor.
- Where the law requires it, for example a lawful order from a court or a government authority.
We do not sell your data, we do not rent it, and we do not pass it to advertisers or data brokers. We do not transfer it outside India, other than the WhatsApp messaging described above.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a placement are kept only as long as the conversation is active. Records of a placement are kept while care continues and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we can answer questions, handle complaints and meet any legal obligations. When information is no longer needed for a purpose above, we delete it or stop being able to identify you from it. You can ask us to delete your details sooner, and we will unless we are required to keep them.
How we protect it
We keep enquiry information on a small number of phones and devices used by our coordinators, protected by device locks. Access is limited to the people working on your case, our staff are told to treat everything about your family as confidential, and caregivers are briefed on confidentiality before placement. No system is perfectly secure and we do not claim otherwise, but if a breach affects your personal data we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the DPDP Act requires.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, 2023 you can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you and who we have shared it with.
- Correct or complete anything inaccurate, out of date or incomplete.
- Erase your personal data where we no longer need it for the purpose you gave it for.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to act.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it. Withdrawing consent does not undo what was lawfully done beforehand, and if you withdraw it while care is running we may no longer be able to provide that care.
- Raise a grievance with us, and have it answered.
To use any of these, call +91 99120 21799 or WhatsApp +91 99120 21899. We may need to confirm who you are first, so that we do not hand somebody's details to the wrong person. We answer as quickly as we can and within the time the law allows.
Children
This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 through it. Where we arrange newborn or baby care, we receive the child's details from a parent or guardian, who consents on the child's behalf. We do not track children or use their data for advertising, which the DPDP Act prohibits in any case.
Grievances
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, tell us first and we will try to put it right. Our grievance contact is The Care Coordinator, reachable on +91 99120 21799. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may escalate the matter to the Data Protection Board of India.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, for example by adding analytics or an online booking system, we will update this page and change the date at the top before the change takes effect. This policy applies alongside our terms and conditions.
